somel-neoc-cask-honey-spirit
Somel NEOC Cask Honey Spirit 500ml 44% (Georgia)

🍯 Somel NEOC Cask Honey Spirit is a Georgian honey spirit that brings together mountain honey and French oak maturation. This Limited Edition expression is bottled at 44% ABV in a 500 ml glass bottle and comes with a matching woodgrain gift box. Its naturally golden colour and distinctive rectangular bottle make a handsome introduction to a spirit whose character begins with honey rather than grapes or grain.

⚗️ Caucasus Spirits produces and bottles Somel in Georgia. Pure mountain honey provides the foundation, and distillation takes place in a MÜLLER AROMAT pot still. The spirit is crafted without additives, allowing the honey-derived character and subsequent oak maturation to remain central to the experience. It offers a different perspective on Georgian distilling for anyone interested in ingredients beyond the country's familiar grape-based spirits.

🪵 Maturation takes place in selected NEOC French oak casks. NEOC refers to renewed oak casks treated by shaving and toasting, a process that prepares the wood for further maturation. Here, the oak complements the floral aroma of honey with fresh and dried-fruit notes. The result combines a naturally golden appearance with a smooth finish, while retaining a clear connection to its honey base.

🥃 For a first tasting, try a small neat pour at room temperature and give it a little time in the glass. A few drops of water offer another way to explore the aromas; these are serving suggestions rather than a prescribed ritual. The boxed presentation makes this release a distinctive gift for an adult enthusiast of Georgian craft spirits. 🎁

🏆 Somel NEOC Cask Honey Spirit earned a Silver medal and 91 points in the IWSC 2026 results. This recognition belongs to the NEOC Cask expression, with its own combination of honey distillation and oak maturation.

🔑 Key Details

🏷️ Brand: Somel

🏭 Producer: Caucasus Spirits LLC

🇬🇪 Country: Georgia

🥃 Type: Honey spirit / honey distillate

✨ Expression: NEOC Cask

🔖 Edition: Limited Edition

🍯 Base: Pure mountain honey

⚗️ Distillation: MÜLLER AROMAT pot still

🪵 Maturation: Selected NEOC French oak casks

🔧 Cask treatment: Renewed oak, shaved and toasted

💪 ABV: 44%

🍾 Volume: 500 ml

🌟 Colour: Natural golden

🌸 Aroma: Floral honey

🍑 Character: Fresh and dried-fruit notes

✨ Finish: Smooth

🥃 Serving suggestion: Neat at room temperature; optional drops of water

🎁 Packaging: Glass bottle with matching gift box

🏆 Award: IWSC 2026 Silver, 91 points

🔢 Barcode: 4860126140068

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0663/7053/5578/files/somel-neoc-cask-500ml-44-front-iwsc-silver-2026.jpg?v=1792582752
