Ethno Mtsvane Rkatsiteli dry Amber Wine 2022 750ml 13% (Georgia)
🏺 Ethno Mtsvane Rkatsiteli dry Amber Wine 2022 is a dry amber qvevri wine from Manavi in Kakheti, Georgia. The blend combines equal proportions of Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli: 50% of each indigenous grape variety. Presented in a 750 ml bottle at 13% alcohol, it brings together a clearly defined origin, estate-grown grapes and the producer’s commitment to traditional Georgian winemaking.
The grapes come from Ethno’s organically farmed vineyards on the slopes of the ancient Manavi fortress. Harvest yields range from 2,500 to 3,000 kilograms per hectare. Grapes are picked by hand and pressed before being vinified and aged in qvevri. Spontaneous fermentation takes place with wild yeasts, connecting the wine’s production to the vineyard and the character of its fruit.
Its medium body, distinctive texture and fresh acidity create a balanced expression of this two-variety blend. The dry amber style offers an engaging choice for those exploring Georgian qvevri wines and the individual character of Manavi. Decanting is recommended by the producer; allowing the wine to breathe before pouring gives it time to open in the glass.
For serving Ethno Mtsvane Rkatsiteli dry Amber Wine, we suggest a lightly chilled 12–14°C and pairing it with roasted poultry, mushroom dishes, grilled vegetables or aged cheese. These are serving suggestions for its textured, fresh style. The wine was estate bottled by LTD Wine Art, trading as Ethno, on 13 March 2024. It contains sulfites.
