Madame Veuve Point Pommard 750ml 13% (France, Burgundy)
Madame Veuve Point Pommard is a deep, powerful, and noble expression of Côte de Beaune winemaking, crafted by one of Burgundy’s most historically celebrated families. The legacy of Madame Veuve Point began in the early 20th century, when her wines won the Grand Prize at the 1904 Saint Louis World’s Fair. Today, her great-great-granddaughter Géraldine Point continues this heritage with a collection of refined cuvées produced across Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations.
Madame Veuve Point Pommard is known for producing some of Burgundy’s most structured and age-worthy Pinot Noirs. Sourced from clay-limestone soils rich in iron and marl, the grapes achieve exceptional concentration, depth, and earthy complexity.
In the glass, the wine reveals a dark garnet color with ruby reflections. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, wild berries, and plum, intertwined with violet, forest floor, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rich, structured, and layered — offering deep red and black fruit, firm but refined tannins, and notes of cocoa, earth, and delicate oak.
Recommended pairings include duck breast, roast lamb, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, truffle risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve slightly chilled at 14–16°C.
A classic, powerful Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir — expressive, age-worthy, and crafted with more than a century of family dedication. 🍒✨
