🍷 Balance Chenin Muscat NV Sweet White wine from South Africa’s Western Cape, presented in a 750ml bottle at 10% alcohol. Its pale golden colour introduces an accessible, fruit-led style for drinkers who enjoy a clearly sweet finish. This is a non-vintage release.
The producer’s blend combines 95% Chenin Blanc with 5% Muscat. Chenin provides the main character, while the small Muscat component adds aromatic interest. Aromas of tropical fruit, gentle spice and a floral accent define its profile. On the palate, the intended impression is soft and refreshing, with a smooth texture and an unmistakably sweet ending. Serve it well chilled; we suggest 6–8°C, allowing the glass to warm slightly if you prefer a fuller aromatic impression.
Overhex’s technical information describes cold skin contact followed by fermentation of free-run juice in stainless steel. Lees contact and stirring contribute to the texture. Before bottling, Chenin Blanc grape juice is used to sweeten the blend. The producer recommends lighter dishes such as pasta, pizza, smoked salmon and salads. For a relaxed table, choose a simple preparation and let the wine’s fruity sweetness provide the contrast.
🍽️ The screwcap is convenient for serving. Balance also supports EHRA’s PEACE programme, which helps communities live alongside elephants. This bottle contains sulphites.
