Tchotiashvili Chveni Ezo 2024 Dry Red Wine 750ml 13.5% (Georgia)
🍷 Tchotiashvili Chveni Ezo 2024 is a dry red wine from Kakheti, Georgia, combining Budeshuri Saperavi, Ikalto Red and Tamaris Vazi. The grapes are grown in the family's own ampelographic vineyard. Created through collaboration between the younger generation and their parents, the Chveni Ezo range gives these local varieties a shared expression grounded in family winemaking.
The wine spends three months in qvevri, partly on the pomace and without stems. This specific approach is central to the character of the blend. The 2024 harvest was bottled on 20 April 2025, and this release contains 13.5% alcohol in a 750 ml bottle. It is unfiltered, so a small natural sediment may be present.
Deep garnet colour with a little translucency introduces a delicate combination of fruit and black rose aromas. The palate is light and balanced, with a soft texture and lively acidity. Fruit remains at the centre of the tasting experience, followed by a pleasant, long finish. It is an appealing choice when you want a Georgian red with a gentle structure and a floral accent.
🍽️ The producer recommends vegetable dishes, chilled salads, fish, poultry and lighter meats, as well as young and aged cheeses. For a meal at home, try a plate of roasted vegetables with poultry, or serve a small cheese selection alongside it. These are pairing suggestions to explore according to your own taste.
Serve Tchotiashvili Chveni Ezo at 14–16°C; decanting is recommended. Stand the bottle upright before opening and pour gently if you want to leave any sediment behind. Choose a roomy wine glass, begin with a small pour and revisit the bouquet as the wine opens. Store away from direct sunlight. Contains sulphites.
