🍷 Tchotiashvili Saperavi Shiraz Collection Wine 2017 is a dry red from Kakheti, Georgia. The blend combines Saperavi and Shiraz using the traditional Kakhetian qvevri method. Part of the winery's Collection Wine range, it is an inviting choice for exploring how two grape varieties come together within one Georgian winemaking approach.
The 2017 harvest was bottled on 5 July 2021. This release contains 13% alcohol in a 750 ml bottle and is unfiltered, so a small natural sediment may be present.
Deep garnet colour shows ruby and violet reflections. Black plum, blackberry and cherry form the aromatic core, accompanied by black pepper and a gentle clove note. The producer associates Saperavi with the blend's dark-fruit depth and structure, while Shiraz contributes its spicy character. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with pronounced tannins, moderate acidity and a long, warm finish.
🍽️ Suggested pairings include red meat, grilled dishes, game and aged cheeses. For dinner, we recommend trying it with grilled or roasted meat and keeping the seasoning simple enough to explore the peppery notes in the wine.
