KIRKE Pure Vodka brings Kakheti’s wine-growing heritage into a Georgian spirit distilled from wine. Produced by Telavi Distillery in the village of Shilda, this 500 ml bottle contains vodka at 40% alcohol by volume. Its starting material is wine made from white grape varieties grown in Kakheti and harvested after dark, the origin of the Dark Harvest wording on the bottle.
The production process combines triple distillation with seven different types of filtration. Water used in production comes from springs fed by glaciers in the Caucasus Mountains. The winery and distillery sit at the foot of the mountains’ southern slope, in Kvareli Municipality. Together, the grape-wine base, the distillation process and the water source define this expression’s production story.
Despite its wine origin, KIRKE Pure Vodka has a classical vodka profile without pronounced grape aromas or flavours. The emphasis is on the delicacy of the grape spirit rather than a fruity wine-like character.
