Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur 1L 17% (France)
🍈 Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur brings a bright tropical character to cocktails, pairing the sweetness of passion fruit with a lively tang. This French edition is supplied in a 1 litre bottle at 17% ABV. Its distinctive black bottle protects a vividly coloured liqueur whose red hue can also influence the appearance of the finished drink. The flavour comes from passion fruit rather than the herbal profile sometimes associated with darker bottles.
🌿 The recipe includes 2% reconstituted passion fruit juice from Brazil and 0.9% natural passion fruit flavour. Passion fruit is the central aromatic and flavour impression, with sweetness balanced by a tart fruit accent. It is designed to be mixed: a measured pour gives a cocktail a recognisable tropical direction without requiring fresh passion fruit for every serving. The brand states that Passoã contains no artificial flavours.
🍸 For a simple Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur Fresh, combine one part liqueur with two parts tonic or sparkling water over ice. Tonic adds its own bitter edge, while sparkling water lets the fruit character remain more prominent. For the bottle’s Porn Star Martini recipe, shake 50 ml Passoã with 30 ml vanilla vodka and 20 ml lemon juice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. These are serving suggestions; the mixers are not included with the bottle. Use measured portions and adjust your chosen recipe thoughtfully.
🏅 Falstaff awarded the French 17% Passoã expression 88 points in its tasting of 19 October 2017; the reviewed format was 700 ml, while this listing is for 1 litre.
