Tchotiashvili Chitistvala Amber wine Specially Bottled Amber Wine (2018 / 2019, Kakheti, Georgia) π¬πͺ is a rare Georgian wine crafted from the indigenous Chitistvala grape variety. Produced by the Tchotiashvili family winery in Kakheti, this wine is part of the exclusive βSpecially Bottledβ series, showcasing only the best lots of the vintage, personally approved and signed by the oenologist.
Made with the traditional qvevri method and aged in oak barrels, it undergoes 6 months of maceration on full grape skins, pips, and stems, followed by 3 months of oak aging. Bottled without filtration and crafted naturally (with only minimal sulfites for barrel disinfection), this wine retains its pure and authentic character.
It displays a brilliant golden-amber color β¨ with aromas of summer white fruits ππ, apricot π, and subtle floral notes πΈ. The palate is both tender and strong, with flavors of ripe stone fruit, citrus zest π, and delicate oak spice πΏ, balanced by fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.
At around 13β14% ABV, this Chitistvala Amber Wine pairs beautifully with roasted meats π, Georgian cuisine π², grilled vegetables πΆοΈ, and aged cheeses π§. Limited in quantity and individually numbered, it is a true collectorβs wine and a testament to Georgiaβs centuries-old winemaking tradition.
