Madame Veuve Point Pommard is a deep, powerful, and noble expression of Côte de Beaune winemaking, crafted by one of Burgundy’s most historically celebrated families. The legacy of Madame Veuve Point began in the early 20th century, when her wines won the Grand Prize at the 1904 Saint Louis World’s Fair — a defining moment that positioned her as one of Burgundy’s pioneering female vigneronnes. Today, her great-great-granddaughter Géraldine Point continues this heritage with a collection of refined cuvées produced across Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations.

Madame Veuve Point Pommard is known for producing some of Burgundy’s most structured and age-worthy Pinot Noirs, and this cuvée is no exception. Sourced from clay-limestone soils rich in iron and marl, the grapes achieve exceptional concentration, depth, and earthy complexity. Fermentation in stainless-steel tanks followed by careful maturation preserves purity of fruit while enhancing the appellation’s signature power and finesse.

In the glass, the wine reveals a dark garnet color with ruby reflections. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, wild berries, and plum, intertwined with violet, forest floor, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rich, structured, and layered — offering deep red and black fruit, firm but refined tannins, and notes of cocoa, earth, and delicate oak. The finish is persistent, complex, and elegant, showcasing Pommard’s renowned intensity and longevity. Madame Veuve Point Pommard
