The Giunonico Primitivo di Manduria DOC Riserva 750ml 15% (Puglia, Italy) 🍷 is a prestigious red wine crafted from 70-year-old bush vines in Manduria, one of Southern Italy’s most important appellations. The Primitivo grape, ancient and native to Puglia, achieves its finest expression in the sandy soils of Taranto province, where warm Mediterranean breezes create the perfect climate for powerful, age-worthy reds.

Harvested by hand in the cool hours of dawn πŸŒ… to preserve freshness, the grapes undergo 12–15 days of maceration for full extraction of tannins and aromas, followed by fermentation at 25Β°C. The wine is then matured for 20 months in large oak casks, 4 months in stainless steel, and 3 months in bottle before release, ensuring remarkable depth and complexity.

In the glass, it shows a ruby-red color with garnet reflections ✨. The bouquet is intense, offering notes of blackberry, black cherry πŸ’, vanilla, tobacco, and leather, a testament to its long oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rounded, with velvety tannins, balanced acidity, and a lingering finish of ripe black fruits and spices.

At 15% ABV, Giunonico Primitivo di Manduria Riserva pairs perfectly with roasted meats πŸ–, barbecue, game 🦌, rich pasta dishes 🍝, and aged cheeses πŸ§€. A true jewel of Puglia’s winemaking tradition.
