Kuehn 1675 Cremant dAlsace Extra Brut is a French sparkling wine for anyone who enjoys a precise, very dry style with the depth to accompany a meal. 🥂 This special cuvée honours the year the Kuehn house was founded in Alsace. Its fine, steady bubbles and pale golden colour make it inviting as an aperitif, while its savoury character gives you many more options once dinner begins. The bottle is 750 ml and carries 11.5% alcohol.

Made by the traditional method, Kuehn 1675 Cremant dAlsace Extra Brut completes its second fermentation in the bottle and spends at least 24 months ageing before release, as stated on the back label. The producer blends Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Expect notes of toasted bread, roasted nuts and dried fruit, with hints of hazelnut and fresh butter on the palate. 🍞 These are Kuehn’s tasting notes for this cuvée; serve it at 6–8°C to enjoy its texture and fine bubbles.

Pour Kuehn 1675 Crémant d’Alsace Extra Brut at the start of a gathering, then keep it on the table with fish, oysters or other shellfish. Kuehn also suggests more substantial seafood dishes, so it works well when you want one sparkling wine to follow a meal rather than stop at the welcome drink. Its Extra Brut dosage of 5 g/L gives the cuvée a dry finish without obscuring those toasted and nutty notes. The producer lists a 2–4 year ageing window for the bottle. This is the dark-labelled “1675” cuvée with Extra Brut on its back label, produced in Alsace, France; it contains sulphites. 🇫🇷
