Fattoria Monticino Rosso Albana di Romagna DOCG White Wine 750ml 13% (2023, Romagna, Italy)
Fattoria Monticino Rosso
Albana, the most prestigious native vine of Romagna, has always been cultivated by the Codronchi counts, the ancient owners of the land where Fattoria Monticino Rosso now stands. To obtain this wine, during the harvest phase we carefully select the grapes, harvested exclusively by hand, in small boxes, around mid-September, depending on the season. Only when the bunch is perfectly ripe is it harvested in several passes, based on its state of ripeness.
Tasting
The straw yellow color is intense, with greenish reflections. From the first breath it gives sensations of sober elegance. It opens to the nose with a disturbing mineral trail that slowly fades into a cascade of flowers and then yellow fruit. It expresses a character rich in strength and elegance. The rhythm is pressing, growing in intensity as the mineral flavors blend with those of citrus, sage, thyme, marrying in a balance that invites you to drink one sip after another. The finish is complex and enveloping, with a pleasant mineral trail
